VoiceType Pro — dictation that stays yours
Talk. It types. On your Windows PC, with the speech model running on your machine — no cloud, no account, no audio ever leaving your device.
What it does
- Offline speech-to-text powered by Whisper — works with your microphone disabled from the internet.
- Dictate anywhere: emails, documents, browsers. It types where your cursor is.
- Private by architecture: the model loads from local storage; there is no server to send audio to.
The honest catch (and why it’s free)
This build is unsigned — we haven’t paid for a Windows code-signing certificate yet. Until we do, Windows shows a scary blue banner on first run. The software is fine; the warning just means Windows doesn’t recognize the publisher. If that doesn’t scare you off:
- Run the installer. Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”.
- Click More info.
- Click Run anyway.
